Route of infection : Ingestion or Inhalation
Lesions in three forms : Pulmonary – Nasal – Skin
Pulmonary :
Characterized by : Numerous nodules ( Gray translucent or yellowish Gray ) Surrounded by
Hypraemic zone Called Gun shot
Nasal :
Characterized by : Rhinitis which unilateral or bilateral
Skin :
Characterized by : Cord Like thickening of Subcutaneous Lymph vessels Called Farcy pipe
Disease effect Any part of skin specially predial aspect of the hock
How to Diagnosis :
1 – Symptoms
2 – Lesions
3 – Bacterial isolation
Treatment :
- Ceftazidime
- Doxycycline
- Streptomycin
